Artist Application

Ji-Eun Lee Music Academy and The Switch Theatre have displayed local artists' artwork since 2010.  In that time we have sold over 100 pieces of art and had multiple commissioned artworks resulting from the art displays.  If you would like your artwork to be considered for display at our music school please submit this short application.  We will contact you if we would like to include your artwork to coordinate the initial installation.

Please visit our sister website The Switch Theatre to learn more about the venue.

Artists selected for display must agree to the following requirements.  This application form does not constitute a formal agreement.  A formal agreement/contract will be provided if your artwork is selected.

  • All artwork must be appropriate for all ages.  Artwork displaying nudity, violent or disturbing images, religiously or ethnically offensive works, etc. will likely be rejected.  Ji-Eun Lee Music Academy ("music school") maintains final authority on which art can be displayed.  The music school may choose to remove individual art pieces after it has been installed for any reason (artist will be notified so replacement piece can be provided).
  • All artwork must be able to hang on a wall.  The music school will provide a professional hanging system (cables and hooks) and ladder.
  • Artist is responsible for hanging artwork.  Music school staff will not assist in the installation of the art.
  • Artist must agree to host and promote an opening reception for the art display.  The music school will also heavily market the opening reception.  Reception details will be coordinated with each artist on display, but may or may not include food, drinks (including beer & wine), live music, or other activities.
  • Artwork must remain on display for a minimum 30 days unless otherwise agreed to by music school.
  • Minimum artwork required:  20 pieces at start of display; 15 pieces on display at all times.  Depending on artwork size, the music school can support up to 60 pieces of art.  If artist does not have enough pieces of art for display let us know and we will work to coordinate art displays with one or more other artists.
  • Artist choice:  The music school will handle art sale transactions (cash or credit card).
  • Cost:  20% of displayed artwork.  Commissioned work resulting from display is exempt -- 100% goes to artist.
  • Art displays are non-exclusive.  This means multiple artists may be on display at same time or other events like Music & Art may overlap with an artist's display.
  • Ji-Eun Lee Music Academy and The Switch Theatre are not responsible for lost or damaged art on display.
