History

Meridian Music School was founded by Judy Goodwin in 1988.  Originally, the school existed inside ‘Meridian Music’, a Steinway piano store, but today exists as a standalone, private music school owned by Ji-Eun Lee and Doug Whisman (also the owners of Ji-Eun Lee Music Academy in Fishers, Indiana).  The school currently has 17 private studios, one group classroom, and a recital hall that seats 60 people.

Meridian Music School helps people of all ages realize their dream of playing a musical instrument.  Each week, Meridian Music School provides music instruction to hundreds of students – ages 9 months to adults.  Our talented and caring professional instructors love to teach piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, double bass (upright bass), guitar, electric guitar, banjo, ukulele, brass and woodwinds, and other instruments.  We also offer a wide range of group classes including Music Together (“mom and me” classes), Kidzrock, Piano Prep, Violin Prep, Theater Prep, and full Youth Theater productions for ages 7 to 18.
